Day 64 - Scrappy Maple Leaf

So, I've been quilting in my "in-between" times and I'm slowly and surely finishing this Autumn Improv quilt. My goal is to finish the top this weekend, but secretly, I would love to finish the whole thing! Not saying that that will be even possible, but you never know...

This is what I'm working on tonight. Still working on my Autumn Improv quilt and hoping it will be done this weekend.

Day 56 - Big Girl Camera

So, it's day 56 and only the second day I have taken out my real camera to take photos. I've been taking them with my tiny point and shoot, or my iPad mini. I always have that with me and I can easily click, adjust and post all on my iPad. It is so convienient, that since I've been so busy and so stressed lately, it is what I've done. Having said that, I am so sad that it took me so long to take out my big girl camera. This autumn was so beautiful and now, it's practically over. I think it's why I'm posting all the pictures of trees and fall foliage and such. It's been very extended this year, but we all knew it wouldn't last. I feel like I'm grasping everything I can get before it's over and all there is to take pictures of outside is dirty snow. Ugh. I can honestly say, I am not looking forward to the creative block that might come with winter!

For now, please enjoy the unprocessed, uncropped, unphotoshoped, un-everything'd photos of the garden, well past it's really productive stage. That kale lasts forever though. It just grows and grows! I think I see a green drink in my future...

Have a great evening! See you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping in! :)

Day 53 - Sick

This is where I spent my day...not too thrilling. I hate being sick!

Day 52 - Home

I love being home right now! About to change into comfy clothes and watch a movie after a long, fun day quilting with a great group of ladies. I took some photos with my big girl camera, but honestly, way too tired to deal with computers and cords and such...is 6:51 too early to go to bed?

Have a great night!

Day 50 - Painting the House

Don't have a ton of time to write lately. I feel like I barely have time to take and post my photo for the day, but my goal for next week is to actually take out my big girl camera and take some real pictures. It's convenient to take them with the iPad, but I think the blurrinees is horrible. So sorry about that. Guess I'm just happy I've been able to maintain one a day for over seven weeks! Yay! Gotta go, helping a bit with painting the house before temperatures plummet this weekend.

See ya later!

Day 46 - 5 Things About Fall

5 Things I L.O.V.E. About Fall.

1) When I drive along my street and the leaves whip up behind the car in front of me.

2) Laying on the couch, covered with a soft blanket and the window open, watching the football game with my family.

3) No matter where I am, outside, there is something beautiful to looks at.

4) Amazing natural colors of Fall. Purple, orange, rust, yellow, brown, red, crimson, green, love.

5) The first time I realize I need to put on socks...and did I mention new socks?

What do you love about Fall?

Day 44 - Wolves-sperience

Tonight, I got tickets from work for the first home preseason Timberwolves game and we were able to take my nephews. So fun! Now, I'm not a sports kind of girl, really, but going to a sporting event is another thing entirely! For me, it's more about having an experience and making a memory. We've started using the  -sperience concept to sort of put a stamp on our memories with our nephews and niece, so tonight we had a car-sperience and a wolves-sperience! We do have fun with them! My advise...have a -sperience with a kid in your life! You will never regret it!!!

Day 39 - Am I Drooling?

Robyn and I like to celebrate special days (well, random days too) with a special meal out. We like to try new places and experience different restaurants around the cities. There are certain places we like to go more often. For our anniversary, for example, the Cheesecake Factory is a favorite. So, that's where we went tonight. Our experience was not our best ever, but we were together, and that always makes it a good night out.

Oh, and did you see the dessert case?!! So many choices, so little desire to eat dessert after the filling meal! We took ours home for tomorrow...

Been very busy this week, so I haven't posted much other than my one pic a day, but that is the idea here...no pressure, so I'm going to be okay with it. Thanks for checking in!

Day 38 - Anniversary

Six years ago today, I married the most amazing man I've ever known. Currently, he's hard at work feeding the masses and I'm at home watching Doctor Who and working on my Autumn quilt. Tomorrow, we celebrate.
