Day 181 - Uncreative

I am so I uncreative today. I didn't take a picture, except the one I do every day. So, here is a boring picture of me...from in the office this morning. I guess a selfie once in awhile is not so bad. Kind of a mugshot though.

Day 179 - Skyway ❤️

Do you ever feel love for inanimate objects? Tonight, I parked the car downtown to meet Robyn for his company's holiday party (seems odd when March is a week away, I know) and it was pretty cold and a bit windy. I believe it was somewhere around zero. We had to walk quite a way to get to the restaurant where the party was and we were able to take the skyway the whole way. I love the skyway. I think every city that gets really cold in the winter should build a skyway system! Love it!

Day 178 - Sad Plants

Not so good with keeping plants alive. But I'm keeping on with my quilt.

Day 175 - L.O.V.E.

My tulips are still blooming and beautiful. It's a nice reminder of Spring next to my frosted Winter window.

Day 174 - Strips of Color

Still working on the new quilt inspired by my pillow. Sewing strips together again and again and again. Have to admit that I'm pretty excited about how it's coming together. Lots of little pieces though, so it's going to take some time to finish.

Day 173 - Day Off

My office is closed today. My husband is at work. I had this pretty stack of colorful fabric waiting to be made into a quilt for my bed and the pillow I made last weekend as inspiration. So, I've been doing some sewing today...and laundry...and dishes. What can I say, it's an exciting life. 😉

Day 171 - Be Mine

He gave me flowers...
I gave him donuts.

I feel so blessed in my husband, not just today, but every day.

Day 170 - Ribbons Galore

I'm going to work on some practice pouches this weekend and of course my thoughts turned to the massive piles of ribbons I got from my grandma and aunt Ellie when they passed away. There are some real gems in this pile...let's see what I can come up with.

Day 168 - Light and Shadow

Stopped at the local grocery store in town and noticed the light on the building next door. Love it.

Day 167 - Winter

It's a snowy sleety day. Oddly, my commute was not that bad! Nice.

Day 165 - This Too

Over the weekend, I had my niece Zoe over for a weekend of art. We decided to do some sewing. We both made a pillow and then we were not quite done with the creative, so we both sewed up a little pouch with our scraps. I wish I would have taken pictures of Zoe's projects. I am very pleased with the way everything came out. I actually bought this fabric for a quilt for my bed, but thought I would play with it a little first. It is pima cotton and I'm not sure what the gray fabric is. It is a very loose weave and very thin. I really love it though. This pillow is so fun, I am tempted to make this the pattern for the quilt. It might take quite awhile though. All those small squares.

Thanks for stopping by my little blog!! :)

Day 164 - Day of Firsts

A new pillow finished today. With my very first zipper, probably improperly installed.

...and Zoe working on her very first free motion quilting project, oh, and her first pillow.
